All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in The Glebeland Surgery in the last financial year was £36,194 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs.

If you are aged between 40 and 74 you may be called for a routine health check. This is aimed to prevent heart disease, strokes, diabetes and kidney disease. It will involve a 20 minute check up with the nurse who will also do a blood test to check your cholesterol.

In Reception we have a health monitoring machine, this can measure your height, weight and blood pressure. Please take advantage of this service, ask at reception for a token, the machine is easy to use and gives clear instructions, if you have any problems the receptionist will be on hand to help you through the process.
