In January 2015 the Government launched The Primary Care Infrastructure Fund. It is a £1bn, four-year funding programme to support GP practices to make improvements to services for local patients including more modern, expanded premises and use of new technology.

In March 2015, NHS England announced the first wave of investment across the country with over 1,000 GP  practices being supported for investment in principle in 2015/16, subject to technical, financial and governance criteria being satisfied.

This practice was one of those surgery’s granted funding for improvement and development purposes, a sum of £121,025.00 which with added investment from the doctors means that the practice premises can be enlarged and the layout reconfigured

These improvements will allow the practice to employ two new doctors meaning more appointments will be available for patients.
